Frequently Asked Questions

What are the costs involved in using your services?

Our most common question revolves around costs. We pride ourselves on offering fixed fee recruitment and placement services that are typically more affordable than traditional recruitment firms. The fees vary depending on the specific program we use to bring workers into the country and include professional and government fees for immigration processing. Our terms are straightforward: we require a small deposit to start work, with the majority of our fee charged after 30 days of successful employment. While fees vary per placement, they start around $2,500 CAD per worker. To get a better understanding of your unique situation, it's best to discuss your needs with our team, as the total cost is often less than expected.

What industries do you specialize in?

We specialize in a diverse range of industries for international recruitment. Our primary focus lies in Chefs and Hospitality, Mechanics and Industrial Trades, Construction Engineers, POEA-Exempt Filipino Workers, and Aquaculture. We assist employers in finding highly skilled and experienced candidates across these sectors, ensuring a seamless and efficient recruitment process. Our team's extensive knowledge and understanding of these industries allow us to better serve our clients and match them with the perfect candidates for their needs.

How long does the recruitment process typically take?

The recruitment process timeline varies depending on occupation, program, and country. For Mexican workers, the process can be as quick as two weeks for deployment and arrival in Canada. For LMIA-Required workers, the process usually takes several months, with approximately two months for LMIA processing and additional time for work permits. Overseas embassies have different processing times, but generally, the entire process takes less than six months. For LMIA-Exempt workers, such as our Colombian and Peruvian Chefs, the typical timeframe is around 8-12 weeks from start to finish.

How do you ensure the quality and skills of the candidates?

We take candidate screening very seriously to ensure the highest quality of candidates for our clients. Our rigorous selection process begins with a thorough review of each candidate's background, including their education, work experience, and language proficiency. We then conduct in-depth interviews and, depending on the occupation, may require candidates to complete technical assessments or provide work samples. Additionally, we verify their references and, when applicable, confirm their professional certifications. Our meticulous approach ensures that the candidates we present are highly skilled and well-suited for the positions they are being considered for.

What happens if workers quit or we need to fire them?

Our recruitment services aim to provide you with dedicated and skilled workers, but we understand that sometimes things don't work out as planned. If a worker quits or needs to be terminated, the process is governed by the Employment Standards regulations in your province. Temporary foreign workers have the same rights and protections as Canadian workers, which means they can quit or be fired under the same regulations as domestic employees. We have found that employers who prioritize creating healthy, thriving workplaces with a positive work environment rarely face issues that require termination or dealing with workers who quit.

Are there any specific requirements my company must meet to be eligible for your services?

We work with a diverse range of companies, but there are a few basic requirements that must be met to be eligible for our services:

  1. Your company should have at least 5 full-time employees and a minimum annual revenue of $500,000.

  2. We focus on non-licensed occupations, which means we don't work with industries such as trucking or healthcare.

Our services are designed to cater to a wide variety of sectors, and we'll work closely with you to understand your specific needs and requirements. To ensure the best possible match, it's essential for us to have a detailed understanding of your company's goals, values, and hiring needs.

What is the process for obtaining work permits and handling immigration paperwork for the candidates?

The process for obtaining work permits and handling immigration paperwork varies depending on the program through which the candidate is being brought to Canada. Here's a general overview of the process:

  1. We identify the most suitable immigration program based on the candidate's profile and your company's requirements.

  2. We collect and prepare all necessary documentation from both the employer and the candidate.

  3. If applicable, we submit a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) application to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) for approval.

  4. Once the LMIA is approved, or if it is not required, we submit the work permit application to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on behalf of the candidate. Depending upon which country they are coming from, the candidate can either apply for their visa at the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate, or if visa-exempt, obtain their work permit at the port of entry upon arrival in Canada.

Throughout the entire process, our team of experts will guide you and the candidate, ensuring all necessary steps are taken and that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.

Can you assist with onboarding and relocation logistics for the hired candidates?

Absolutely! We understand the importance of a smooth onboarding and relocation process for both the employer and the candidates. Our services extend beyond just recruitment and immigration paperwork. We can assist with:

  1. Coordinating travel arrangements for the candidates, including booking flights and organizing airport pick-ups.

  2. Providing guidance on finding accommodation and settling into their new community.

  3. Offering orientation and cultural adaptation support to help candidates adjust to their new work environment and life in Canada.

  4. Assisting with other logistical matters such as obtaining Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) and opening bank accounts.

Our goal is to ensure a seamless transition for the candidates and to help you integrate them into your workforce as efficiently as possible. Please talk to us about your specific needs, and we'll be happy to customize our services to suit your situation.
